Top 3 Emergency Responses When a Factory Production Line Stops

Top 3 Emergency Responses When a Factory Production Line Stops

Managing the Crisis Correctly

When a main machine in a packaging or injection line suddenly throws a "Fault" and stops production, every second counts. Panic and wrong interventions can turn a small fuse failure into a massive motherboard disaster. Follow these 3 steps:

1. Do Not Blindly Reset the System

When a machine gives a short circuit or overcurrent alarm, the first mistake is turning the power off and on. If the IGBT module is shorted, powering up again can blow the motor windings. Always note the Alarm Code on the screen first.

2. Check for Smell and Heat

Open the panel (after cutting power) and look for a burnt plastic smell. Finding which device (drive, PLC) is hotter than normal is the fastest way to trace the fault.

3. Avoid Unauthorized Tampering and Call Experts

Modern automation cannot be fixed by standard electricians. Opening a controller can destroy its EEPROM (software memory). Call the Code Elektronik 24/7 Field Team; our engineers will arrive with mobile lab vehicles to safely commission your machine.
